PAT WALSH

My work is always motivated by the beauty of our world, both natural and man-made. Regardless of the motif, I strive to let the painting be the paint, and to reach for the abstraction and expression in everything. Whether in oil, gouache, monotype or pastel, my intention is always first to engage myself, and ultimately my viewer, in the process of seeing the small moments that together form the visual experience. If I am successful, the work will elicit an emotional as well as a visual experience.
